Follow this step-by-step guide, to participate in the CRYPTO20 ICO: (If you have any questions, email us at email@example.com)
PLEASE NOTE: We will never contact you directly about the pre-sale or ICO. All details of the pre-sale and ICO can be found on this site - you will be kept updated via email. Be careful, scammers try to trick people into sending their investment to the wrong address. We will never publish BTC, LTC or ETH addresses on social media.
Please note that investment is not available to any citizen, resident or entity of the United States of America, Cayman Islands or South Africa. CRYPTO20 has implemented this verification step to stay legally compliant with KYC/AML (Know Your Customer/Anti-Money Laundering) regulations. We aim to bring transparency and legitimacy to the cryptocurrency market, and due to advice from our legal council, we unfortunately have to exclude these jurisdictions from participating in the ICO.
You will need the following to be able to participate in our presale or ICO:
Still confused? See the questions below. We have tried to make this process as simple as possible, but if you have any problems, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
C20 is an ERC20 token built on the Ethereum blockchain. In order to receive your C20 tokens, you need an ERC20 wallet. A "wallet" is just like a bank account, without the bank. A "wallet address", or "ETH address", is just like a bank account number.
We do not keep your tokens on our system or under our control. Once we send them to you, after the presale or ICO ends, you will have full control over what you do with them.

Buying cryptocurrency varies from country to country. The process of getting coins, sending them to and from exchanges, buying other coins, and storing them in cold wallets has a reasonable learning curve. If you are not familiar with this process, we recommend you take the time to do some research around how cryptocurrencies work.
Check out the information below to get started, specifically with buying Bitcoin.
If you want a complete walkthrough of how to buy Bitcoin, this dedicated site, https://howtobuybitcoin.io/ will help you through the process.
Let's start with Bitcoin. To buy bitcoin go to bitcoin.org/en/exchanges, to see which exchanges are available in your country. Find one you like, sign up, connect your bank account and buy some Bitcoin. Most exchanges have "how to" or "tutorial" pages, to get you started.
As a cryptocurrency only index fund, we will only accept contributions in the form of crypto. This means you will not be able to invest using your credit card, with a bank transfer or any traditional fiat currencies. However, some exchanges like CEX.io allow you to purchase bitcoin with a credit card.
You may invest as little as you like, but we recommend a minimum of $50.
How much C20 you actually receive depends on when you invest and the dollar price of the currency you invest with. Read the rules below for the pre-sale and the main ICO to understand the token allocation rules during each sale.
On the verify page, complete the simple KYC identity verification process. Once you are verified, you cannot change or update your details.
CRYPTO20 has implemented this verification step to stay legally compliant with KYC/AML (Know Your Customer/Anti-Money Laundering) regulations. We aim to bring transparency and legitimacy to the cryptocurrency market.
As part of our regulated and required verification process, we are asking for your citizen identification number. This is an additional measure to ensure against accepting fraudulent contributions. We do not store this number on our system, and it gets automatically verified by Identity Mind, our security partner.
For countries that do not have a national identity number, the following documents are also accepted:
On the invest page, the first step is to submit your ETH wallet address where you want to receive your C20 tokens. DO NOT USE AN EXCHANGE ADDRESS! Read why below.
Which ETH wallets can I use?
We recommend using Metamask, since it works safely in your browser as an extension, and can then connect directly to our withdraw page, where you can interact with our smart contract, to take advantage of the price-floor mechanism of the fund. Another good wallet is of course MyEtherWallet.
Read the next FAQ to learn how to set up your wallet.
If you have any other wallets you want to use, and you want to make sure they will work, please email us at email@example.com.
If you do not have a wallet yet, learn how to set one up below.
We highly recommend using a Chrome Browser, and the Metamask extension, to take part in this ICO. Many sites are integrating with Metamask to make interacting with the Ethereum network very easy. Follow this video or text tutorial to get started.
Another very useful and trusted Ethereum wallet, is MyEtherWallet. You can either work with it online, or download it and run it locally on your computer. It will work and look the same.
Do not use these wallets:
If you specify an exchange address to receive your C20, you will not receive your tokens. Read more about why, below, and if you are unsure, rather email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Similar to how the HTTP protocol defined the internet, ERC20 is a protocol that defines a set of commands that a token should implement. ERC20 is not a technology, software, or piece of code. It is a technical specification. If a token implements the specification, it is an ERC20 token.
In case you didn’t know, a single ERC20 wallet can hold any amount of ERC20 tokens, for example, one wallet can hold ETH itself, but can also hold C20, and other Ethereum based tokens, e.g. REP, EOS, MKR, GNO, ZRX, and so on. There are currently many different tokens built on Ethereum.
During the main ICO, we will be accepting Ether, Bitcoin and Litecoin. You may send any coin as many times as you want, and in any combination. All transactions are recorded and displayed clearly on the account page.
All contributions will be recorded at market value the moment your ETH, BTC, or LTC transaction has been confirmed. A timestamp of the transaction will record the price of ETH, BTC, or LTC at the time of the transaction. You will receive the corresponding amount of C20 tokens i.e. you get exactly what you pay for.
e.g. If you send 1 ETH, and the price is $300 during that hour, you will receive 300 C20. If in the next hour, the price of ETH is $310, and you send 1 ETH, you will receive 310 C20.
If you invest 1 ETH at $300, and get 300 C20 tokens, and the price of ETH rises to $350, your C20 won't increase, in the same way that if ETH went down to $250, your C20 won't decrease. C20 represents your share of the CRYPTO20 fund. You get the dollar amount of ETH in C20 tokens, the moment you invest, to secure your exact share of the fund at that moment. However, it is important to remember, that if ETH goes up, your C20 tokens will be worth more, so you are still receiving the benefit of the fund as a whole.
You may not be able to see your C20 tokens in your wallet of choice instantly. You have to add our smart contract details to your wallet first. This is common for most ICOs.
C20 has been added to MYETHERWALLET so there is no need to add it as a custom token, however, if you do not see it there, check how to add the custom token below:
Go to "View Wallet Info" on myetherwallet, and look for "Token Balances", click the button "Add Custom Token", and enter the address "crypto20.eth" or "0x26e75307fc0c021472feb8f727839531f112f317" with symbol "C20" and "18" decimal places. Click save, and then you are done. You will see your balance updated once we send you the C20 tokens. See image below for an example:
Go to the metamask chrome extension, and click on the "TOKENS" tab, then click "ADD TOKEN", and enter the address "crypto20.eth" or "0x26e75307fc0c021472feb8f727839531f112f317" with symbol "C20" and "18" decimal places. Click save, and then you are done. You will see your balance updated once we send you the C20 tokens. See image below for an example:
You can go to https://etherscan.io/address/crypto20.eth#readContract to actually interact with the CRYPTO20 smart contract. Under "8. balanceOf" you can enter your receiving ethereum address, then click "Query" to see if we have actually sent the tokens or not. If you see "0" then we have not sent your tokens, and if there is a number there, then we have. We do payouts every 24 hours, so don't worry if you do not see them. If you have locked in your ETH address on the account page then you will be added to the next payment cycle.
Once you submit your RECEIVING ETH address, a new unique ETH address will be generated, specifically linked to your account. When you send your ETH to that address, we know it is yours.
Once you submit your RECEIVING ETH address, a new unique Bitcoin address will be generated, specifically linked to your account. When Bitcoin is sent to that address, we know it is yours.
Once you submit your RECEIVING ETH address, a new unique Litecoin address will be generated, specifically linked to your account. When Litecoin is sent to that address, we know it is yours.
Thank you for taking part! On the account page, you can check your investment balances, see how much you deposited, and how much C20 you will be receiving.
